Tar sands oil would contribute to global warming, help exhaust fresh water supplies, and increase the release of toxins to our atmosphere. This pipeline would serve to transport oil being extracted in Northern Alberta, Canada. The pipeline would extend all the way down to ports on the Gulf of Mexico and then be shipped overseas.
